Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, and Dr. Winitra Leelapattana, Associate Dean of the International College, attended in discussions with administrators and executives of National Chung Hsing University and National Chin-Yi University of Technology in Taiwan. This meeting centered around establishing an academic partnership to develop Dual Degree Programs designed to enhance educational opportunities for students.
The proposed
collaboration includes a 2+2 program format for undergraduate degrees, allowing students to spend two years at Maejo University and two years in Taiwan to complete their degrees. At the master’s level, a 1+1 format is being considered, which would similarly enable students to gain international experience and credentials by completing one year at each institution. This partnership aims to foster cross-cultural learning, broaden academic perspectives, and equip students with skills that meet international standards.
Additionally, President also attended a meeting with 10 exchange students from the Faculty of Business Administration, Maejo University, who are participating in a three-month exchange program at the College of Management, National Chin-Yi University of Technology. The program allows these students to gain hands-on international experience, expand their academic and cultural perspectives, and develop skills in a global business environment.
